All I said was... because women believe that their role is to keep what they already have...changing would be perceived as "naughty" or even downright immoral.  Yes, we were conditioned to think that way.  To complicate things, we sometimes even deal with the issue of being attached to something or someone familiar...like a piece of furniture.  The value we attach to them is so ridiculously high that parting becomes uncomfortable...even painful.  We only have to realize that the discomfort is only intense in the beginning and fades over time. 

It is necessary to discard the rotten to give way to the brand new.  A space must be prepared for something we wish for because how can anything or anyone come into our life when there is no available space to stay?
